斯里兰卡-热带岛国，有“印度洋上的明珠”的美称，面积65,610平方公里，人口2048万（2012年），有美丽绝伦的海滨，神秘莫测的古城，丰富的自然遗产，以及独特迷人的文化，斯里兰卡四季如夏，无四季之分，只有雨季和旱季,是旅游度假休闲圣地，一个比马尔代夫还美的地方！
2014年9月，我国领导人对斯里兰卡进行国事访问期间，宣布启动中斯自贸区谈判。今年4月，中斯两国总理在北京举行会谈，共同表达了进一步加快自贸区谈判，争取年内取得成果的愿望。中国与斯里兰卡是传统友好近邻。近年来，在两国政府的推动下，经过双方企业的不懈努力，双边经贸合作发展迅速，成果显著。中方企业承建的交通、能源、水利、电讯等领域的项目在斯经济社会发展中发挥着重要作用。斯政府致力于吸引外资，改善基础设施条件，发展旅游、医药、农业等重点产业。双方加强在这些领域的投资合作潜力巨大，前景广阔。斯里兰卡工业基础相对薄弱。由于资源缺乏，大量工业原材料仍需从国外进口。斯里兰卡资金技术密集型工业尚未形成，几乎无重工业。近年来，两国在各领域互利合作不断扩大，双边贸易保持较快增长势头。据中国海关统计，2014年，中斯双边贸易总额为40.42亿美元，其中中国对斯里兰卡出口37.93亿美元，中国自斯里兰卡进口2.49亿美元，分别同比增长11.66%、10.35%和36.24%。
今年来，中资企业对斯里兰卡投资取得跨越式发展，多个大型投资项目签约。中国在斯投资项目主要包括招商局集团投资的科伦坡港南集装箱码头、中国交通建设集团有限公司投资的科伦坡港口城、中航国际（香港）集团公司投资的科伦坡三区公寓等项目。中国民营企业赴斯里兰卡投资发展迅速，涉及酒店、旅游、农产品加工、渔业、家具制造、纺织、饲料、生物质发电、自行车、仓储物流等多个领域。
【展会介绍】
CONSTRUCT由NCASL斯里兰卡建筑协会举办，每年一届。展览面积约5000平方米，参观人数约达1.8万人次。斯里兰卡是宝石的王国，被称为印度洋上的一颗珍珠。过去几十年由于内战的拖累,经济发展受到限制。2009 年内战结束以后，斯里兰卡经济突飞猛进，在当前严峻的世界经济形势下逆市而上。内战结束，形势稳定，百废待兴，目前斯里兰商机凸显，特别是基础设施建设领域。数据显示，去年斯里兰卡已投入700 亿卢比（约合5.47 亿美元）用于高速公路、能源、水利、城市管网等基础设施项目。斯里兰卡首条高速公路已于2011 年底建成。与此同时，基础设施建设的热潮带动了斯里兰卡对工程机械设备的大量需求，包括工程机械、路面设备等。房地产开发内战结束后，斯里兰卡旅游业恢复活力，2010 年斯里兰卡被纽约时报列为年度最值得旅游的31 个目的地之首的国家。目前该国正积极加快国内交通网络建设，提升酒店接待能力，这为房地产业发展带来机遇。斯里兰卡计划在未来5 年增加50000 间酒店房间数。据悉，已批准在全国范围内新建35 家五星级酒店，其中首都科伦坡新建11 家。此外，由于斯里兰卡高端投资人士及旅居澳、美、英、加等国的侨民认为高端公寓
是当地最可靠的投资选择，因此，当前斯里兰卡豪华公寓开发如火如荼。据统计，西部省特别是科伦坡地区50%的高端公寓在开工前就已售出。有关机构预测，2020年以前，科伦坡每年需修建10 万套公寓才能满足市场需求。当地房地产业的繁荣，带动对铝材、塑钢、水泥、钢铁、大理石、卫浴、维护设备等材料的需求量日趋庞大，而斯里兰卡建材类产品需求几乎100%靠进口，这为中国企业提供了巨大的商机。

"CONSTRUCT" organized annually since 2001 by the National Construction Association of Sri Lanka (NCASL) will be held on 25th, 26th, 27th August 2017 for the 17th consecutive year, at the Sirimavo Bandaranaike Memorial Exhibition Center (SBMEC) Colombo, Sri Lanka.

CONSTRUCT 2016 will bring together builders, architects, engineers, contractors, developers, consultants, interior designers, quantity surveyors among many others in what is expected to be a most comprehensive construction trade exhibition in the country.
